Poultry industry plays a vital role in providing high quality nutritional foods like chicken and eggs. India is amongst top 5 producers of poultry products in world. India has very good poultry infrastructure. Indian Poultry industry has potential to top the table. There are still some challenges which need to be addressed for betterment of poultry industry in India.

Poultry industry needs to work on infrastructure facilities for value addition, such as poultry processing, warehousing, cold storage and refrigerated vehicles. These factors not only improve the food hygiene and supply chain system but also improves overall image of Poultry products in the mind of consumers. Poultry producers in India have already started the work in this direction.
